Task 1 - Pen and pencil line and tonal drawings

At the beginning, I was given multiple images of insects and was tasked with creating line and tonal drawings of them.

When doing the tonal drawings, I used a pencil, which allowed me to do a lot of shading and finer details on the insects.
With the line drawings however, I used a fineliner pen, which only allowed me to draw the outline and most basic of details of the insects.

Afterwards, I was tasked with finding my own images of insects to do line and tonal drawings of. These images were also used during the designing of my own mini-beast, as I took various pieces from each insect.

The image below shows off the difference between the two types of drawing. The tonal drawing allowed me to shade in the insect and even create a shadow, which I could not do with the tonal piece.
